Colony 34.
Location: Milan
Veterinarian: Ypsilanti Animal Clinic
These twelve kittens were from the Spring 2000 litters
of two Milan cats.
In Fall 2000, they had another ten kittens
and then were TNR'd (trapped, neutered and returned).
The caregiver successfully placed the kittens
and is looking forward to Spring 2001
when that will no longer be necessary.
From the caregiver:
"The three stray cats
are doing great after their surgeries.
The Ypsilanti Animal Clinic did a wonderful job!
I wanted to personally thank you for your asssistance
with the funding of these procedures.
We would have never been able to take care of that many surgeries
and everything else that they need.
(We go through about 20 lbs. of cat food each week.)"

Colony 39.
Location: Ypsilanti
Veterinarian: Ann Arbor Animal Hospital
From their caregiver:
"These two kittens were born down the street
from Eastern Michigan University
where their mom still lives.
She's been spayed so she won't have any more litters
and these two kitties were socialized, spayed and neutered
and then adopted to the mother of one of our neighbors
who lives up in northern Michigan.
Thanks for your help --
mom cat is doing well
and her two kittens are happy in their new home."

Colony 42.
Location: Saline
Veterinarian: Animal Medical Center of Saline
From their caregiver:
"I am sending pictures of our cats --
this was before their surgery --
you can see what "charmers" they are.
Their "cat house" is on the porch --
pretty close to the plans you had enclosed.
It's a nice protected location.
My husband insulated it
and put paneling over the insulation,
shingled the roof and put a light bulb in
so they are nice and warm.
It has our porch carpet on the bottom and blankets, etc.
Thanks for all your suggestions --
these cats have a good home and lots of attention."

Colony 58.
Location: Manchester
Veterinarian: Countryside Veterinary Clinic
From their caregiver:
"Enclosed is a photo of one of our colony cats,
Sushi, a twin of our good friend, Squeakers,
who passed away this last February.
He loves my herb garder (seen in photo)
and seems to really enjoy his neutered life.
He really is a happy ending to a sad story.
He now wears a breakaway collar
with a heart-shaped reflector tag
an sleeps in our barn on a sheep skin rug.
Life is good!
Thank you so much for your kind support."
